Join us for the 2021 Miss Summer Moon Scholarship Pageant sponsored by Steinke Family Chiropractic! This year's event will take place at the Wapakoneta City Schools Performing Arts Center on July 14 at 7pm. Doors will open at 6! Admission is $7 at the door!  Learn more here.

The Armstrong Air & Space Museum is proud to announce a new exhibition featuring one-of-a-kind historic artifacts related to Apollo 11 and Ohio astronaut Neil Armstrong. The keg will be officially tapped and the fun will begin Downtown!

Bed Races
Come watch this hilarious and very wild race down Perry Street involving beds, an obstacle course, water and mayhem.  Fastest Teams win the glory and the honor of a donation to the charity of their choice.  Email the Bed Races Registration to chamber@wapakoneta.com to get registered.  Our special guests, the Apollo 11 Frogmen, will be on hand to judge the festivities.

Come to the main stage to watch this crazy fun endurance challenge as contestants attempt to hold a full stein of beer the longest.

Fishing Derby
Enjoy a morning along the Auglaize River in the new Heritage Park.  All ages welcome, ages 12 and under please have an adult present, don't forget your Fishing Derby Registration and a pole.

Across the street from the Auglaize County Courthouse on Willipie Street you'll find an array of fresh local offerings from farmers every Saturday!  Check them out on Facebook to learn more about them all year long!

RC Fun Run

Truly a fan favorite, this group of rocket builders will be giving periodic rocket demonstrations throughout the day. Be the group's countdown clock as they lift-off your rocket! Lunar Rover Display & Demos
Just in time for the Apollo 15 50th anniversary, check out the museum's drivable lunar rover replica! Learn about the complexity of driving a vehicle on the lunar surface and explore the interesting history of the museum's replica, perhaps even catch a driving demo too! The rover will be available only for Saturday and Sunday located on the museum's north lawn.  Check out the entire schedule of Museum events here.

P.I.G.S Aloft Kites
When the Wright Stuff Rocketeers are not launching rockets, the sky will be filled with beautiful and whimsical kites flown by P.I.G.S. Aloft! Watch as these majestic kites soar through the air. YMCA Bike Tour

Enjoy the 19th annual Summer Moon Festival Bike Tour on Sunday, July 18, 2021! The YMCA has different routes for every level.  The routes will take you through the flat terrain and rolling hills of Auglaize County. The Tour is sponsored by the Wapakoneta Family YMCA and is open to all cyclists. In addition, we invite you to stay and enjoy the YMCA facilities after the ride.  This is the second event of the Triple Crown Fitness Challenge.  More details and registration can be found at the Wapak Family YMCA's website.
